cnc-forum - Mori Seiki Co multiple offsets |
|
William from Kentucky -
My company has a RL-203 Mori Seiki. It has a Meldas control. I am trying to use multiple offsets for one tool. It is not recognizing the second offset. On a fanuc control, this is a parameter change. I am wondering if it's the same for the meldas control, an if so what parameter it is.

A T code, eg T0303, is defined in one of two ways. The upper T code (the first 03, closest to the T)can be set to be turret position and geometry offset. Then the lower T code (the second 03) is just wear offset. This is your machine now. It can be changed to: the upper T code is only Turret position and the lower T code is both geometry and wear offset. An example is T0323, this is turret station 3 and geometry and wear offset 23. Yeh... this is what you want. Look in your Meldas parameter manual and you will find the parameter number pretty much described as I have. Trust me I am correct, I'm a Mori Engineer in Australia.
