Henry (220.245.178.139) -
Our Mitsui Seiki HR5B with Fanuc 6M-B had several failures mostly caused by intermittent electronic relays (JDR-052/ K105) Unable to source a suitable replacement(no longer available) we have successfully made our own. We're using a PVG612 optocoupler (from International Rectifier), a 1.2K 1/2W resistor in series with the anode of the LED, some PCB "breadboard" with solderpads, 2xPCB headers modified to match the pin layout of the JDR-052 device. The mod works very well, first implemented in 2005, and we're gradually replacing all JDR-052 device. How do you know which JDR-052 is faulty? Consult the circuit diagram & then just tap the suspect module. If you need more info or a diagram, go to our website and fill-in the contact form. Henry.
