Top Searches: • mazak threading • | index.html - MazakTurning threads on MazakWe just got our used Mazak QT-15 with T-32 control up and running and are working the bugs out. The latest problem is thread turning. It occasionally makes a great thread, but most of the time, in the midst of threading it gets out of time with the thread and cuts the partially made thread in half. I stopped it after each pass to take a look at what it was doing and this is what I found. 1st pass: good, 2nd: good, 3rd: good, 4th: cut existing thread in half. 5th through 7th: right in line with first 3, 8th took it's own random path again. Any ideas what the problem might be, thanks a lot. Comment #1 Perry (86.132.199.118) - Look on top of the spindle (take rear cover off) you will see an encoder and toothed belt.
