'Mazak Agents failure to supply parts & sevice for S/Hand machines In New Zealand'

Has anybody heard that Mazak will not supply parts or service to second hand machines not registered to the owner siting "weapons of mass destruction" and second hand machine tools. They state that it is Japanese & US government regulation. To register a cost of 300, 000Yen before they will talk to you re parts.

Hi I have a second hand mazak VTC41L +- 15 years old but in good condition, which has Yasnak control, Mazak South Africa indicated there is nothing they can do as the control is too old and it is a Yasnak/ yaskawa problem. Yaskawa onlt offered a new system . It amazes me that they are unable to repair it or at least give the information out so that others can do the repair.

any assistance or comments ??

don nash= has your VTC41L given you any other problems than the controls?
