Haas Programmable coolant unit

I recently bought a 96' Haas VF-2 with the programmable coolant unit. However, when I try to run a program the spigot for the unit cannot find its position at the tool change and alarms out. I replaced the two OMRON switches in the unit but this did not correct the problem. Has anyone had this problem and if so how I do I fix it?

Ro,

Check if there's a resistance preventing your motor to turn freely. Also, there is a micro switch inside the P-cool. Try

adjusting it by turning the set screw clockwise or in the other

way around.

I had this problem on a VF-2. I took the cover loose to the coolant mechanism and carefully cleaned the mechanism inside.

This worked for a while.

An alternative is to set all programmable coolant values to zero, use the independant nozzles (I had four), adjust them so they apply coolant regardless of tool length and/or operation and open them wide open. This worked pretty well.
