I read your posts and was wondering if any of you may be able to help me out. I have a hitachi seiki ht20sII. When I turn the spindle on it does not come to a quick stop and I get AL-28 spindle stop incompleted. I have changed the belts and I am still getting the same message. I bought this machine used and am just starting to set it up. Is there something in the parameters or anything else I can try. I would greatly appreciate anything you may be able to suggest. Thanks in advance

there are no parameters to tell the spindle where to stop. however there is a spindle brake on that machine that is located at the back side of the spindle wall. can be seen by looking through you way oil door. check the connections. when the spindle stop is commanded the brake receives a signal. if you go through your books , it will lead you in the right direction as far as troubleshooting.good luck.
