check cable and memory PCB/NC program

You must use RTS & CTS signals on FANUC side as hardware hand shake. Also Pin No. 6, 8, & 20 must be shorted at Fanuc side. Even if the problem is observed, reduce the baud rate & see. - Deepak

Alarm 87 means RS-232 failure.

Refer FANUC Manual for detailed meaning.
